(More customer reviews)The PrepLogic exam simulator CDs that come with the Exam Cram 2 books are only 50 questions long and many of those questions have typos and are repeated more then once! I bought the book pack partly because it came with this exam simulator software, so minus a star for that.
The book itself, however, is pretty good. It does a nice job of concisely conveying the information and providing step-by-step instructions when needed. It also comes with a neat little "cheat sheet" that's filled with little important facts you need to know for that exam. The CD also has the book in PDF format which is a big plus for me.
However, the book does have it's problems. For example: for the exam 70-291 the subject of subnetting is never discussed and this IS on the exam. A quick brush-up on subnetting would be nice (the MSPress Self-Paced Training Kit does subnetting in one chapter). I also found minor typos, including mention of HFNetchk for checking for security hot fixes which has been replaced by MBSA. Minus another star.

Not only does it cover the material well, it is truly an easy read. The test was relatively difficult because of it's breadth of testing topics but I passed with an 857 (700 required to pass) and I credit it to this guide.
Buy this book + read it AND understand it = pass the test.

MCTS 70-620 Microsoft Windows Vista: Configuring Practice Questions Exam Cram Review

(More customer reviews)I picked this book up to supplement the MS Training guide for this exam. I've been very happy with the Exam Cram series in the past however this one falls short in one specific area - accuracy. Many of the answers contradict what is in the MS Training guide, are flat out wrong, or even contradict themselves. For example, Chapter 5, Question 67 (Windows Fax), the explanation in the answer key contradicts the answer given. There are several other instances like this which should have been caught during editing (Question ID 1.4-3, 3.3-54, 1.1-25, etc.). After reading through this book and taking several practice exams from CD(which use the exact same questions) I was left with less confidence than if I had simply stayed with the MS Press book. I suppose one benefit is that I was forced to do more research when I read something that didn't seem right, which probably helped me pass the exam.

MCTS Self-Paced Training Kit (Exam 70-642): Configuring Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure (PRO-Certification) (PRO-Certification) Review

(More customer reviews)This book prepared me for the 70-642 test. I downloaded evaluation copies of windows server 2008 and ran them in virtual server. I found that reading the ebook (included) was easier than reading the real book (I ended up doing both). After reading the book, doing the labs and taking the practice tests in custom mode (so I could review the answers) I was able to pass the test.
I noted only one typo in one of the practice tests so I would recommend this study guide.
