(More customer reviews)This book does provide a broad overview of the concepts of information security. Whatever good information this book does provide is, to some extent, offset by three problems: First, the book is filled with many, many typographical errors. While reading the book, I constantly found myself going back and trying to determine what the writer meant by many of the mangled sentences (or pieces of sentences) in the book. Second, there are a few errors in information. Finally, there are areas where important explanations or details about concepts are completely omitted. The writers needed to do some additional work and editing to make the book's portrayal of many of the concepts it covers clearer and more comprehensive.
There are plenty of free online resources (NIST's Computer Security Resource Center, for example) that would be better places to learn about information security than this text.
