I downloaded the trial version of The Otherside: Realm of Eons but although the game has a good price and lovely graphics I decided not to buy it. After having played quite a number of these types of games, amongst them Echoes of the Past: Royal House of Stone [Game Download], Flux Family Secrets: The Ripple Effect [Game Download] and Pahelika: Secret Legends [Game Download], I found this game too easy. Whenever a puzzle needs to be solved, the hints tell the player exactly what to do. Right down to which objects are needed, etc. So consequently there was no real challenge involved, just finding hidden objects (easy as well, because the rooms are not over-stuffed with objects as is the case with most hidden object games) and then using them as instructed by the hints which constantly pop up automatically.
While I am not one who likes to try forever to solve a puzzle or game, this quickly bored me. The mini games that I saw during the 30-minute trial were too easy as well. I would give this game to an older child but I don't find it suitable for adults.
